Honda Freed coming to Thailand?

Honda Freed 2009 MPV coming to Thailand It is rumored that Toyota Avanza is going to get a run for its money as Honda releases its sub compact seven seater mini-MPV Honda Freed in Thailand in 2009. Is this just a rumor? Stay tuned. Will Toyota manufacture these here or just import them from Japan or Indonesia? If these are manufactured here, we will be the first exporter to export these out to Honda fans worldwide.

Early reports though suggest that the vehicle will be manufactured in Indonesia and then brought in here.

According to Honda, the Freed uses the 1.5-litre VTEC engine of the Jazz, as well as the five-speed automatic transmission. In Japan, there's all-wheel-drive and CVT to choose from, although it is unlikely to be available in this region.
